What and why…

One of the five purposes of the church is to reach out to others with the Gospel of Christ. The word that describes this purpose of reaching outside the church walls is called Missions. This word comes from the Great Commission in Mathew 28:18-19, “Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature…”

Jesus said, "I will build my Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" (Matthew 16:18). Each generation has the mandate from Christ to reach every village of every nation so that the words of Christ "I will build my Church" might be fulfilled through us. Missions should be like throwing a pebble in a pond, the ripple effect of the Gospel of Christ in our lives should start at home and spread ever outward.

Last Chance Chapel supports a wide variety of missionaries around the world. From the deserts of Africa to the arctic regions of Siberia we have a part in sending out faithful men and women who are committed to this Great Commission.
