Raise a Son For Burma

Facts:

• Burma has the longest running military rule in history; over 25 years.
• This brutal regime is purging the ethnic minorities that make up the nation of Burma
• The government is brutally killing thousands of people, burning down villages, raping women and wounding children.

Refugees:

• Upwards of fifty thousand of these people have fled for their lives to the border of Thailand.
• Entire generations have been raised behind barbed wire fences without freedom, a future, or hope.
• Refugees depend on charitable giving for the basics of life: thatched roof shelter and rice.

Raise a Song for Burma believes that:

We have a window of time to reach these people who are perched between certain death and an unstable future. Our goal is to love, feed, train and teach. Our focus is in two areas:

1. WA Hostel Working with the founders, Joan and Allen Eubank, we oversee 38 children from five year olds to high- school-age children. We must find funds to feed, educate, and train them up with Godly principles and send them back to their nation as effective, strong leaders.

2. Refugee Camps Working with young, committed, zealous leaders within these camps, we will continue to feed, educate, and train leaders. They are willing to work hard to train their own. We give hope, provide rice, and create strategies for change to continually build the Church of Christ Jesus in these camps.

In every war there is a song. We are raising a song for Burma: for justice to win, for the poor to be fed, for the orphans to be educated, for the widows to be cared for. We are singing over a nation whose history speaks of a noble people and whose future rests in the hands of God and people who believe we can change the destinies of thousands of Burmese.
